Neelam is sapphire. Gulbandh — gul, flower; bandh, to bind — is a chain of flowers linked together, like the interlocking floral jaal of Mughal palace screens.

The Neelam Gulbandh set is cast in solid brass and plated in bright 22K gold, with a softly domed face. Shimmering royal blue enamel petals link flower to flower across an ivory ground, every petal outlined in gold, with a polished gold bead at each point where the flowers meet.

Crisp and regal — it glows on navy, midnight blue and black bandhgalas and sherwanis, and looks equally fresh on ivory and gold. Pair with an ivory or navy pocket square. The black-and-ivory version is Shahi Gulbandh.
