A palace window, framed in gold.
A jharokha is the carved balcony window of Rajput and Mughal palaces — the place from which kings showed themselves to their court. Shahi means royal.
The Shahi Jharokha set borrows its eight-sided shape from those windows. Each button is cast in solid brass and plated in 22K gold with a rich antique finish. A beaded gold border runs around the octagon, and inside, raised gold scrollwork curls across deep black enamel like a carved jaali screen. At the centre, a large faceted crystal sits in a beaded gold ring.
Bold, structured and unmistakably regal, it looks its best on deep colours — maroon, wine, black, navy and bottle green sherwanis, bandhgalas, Jodhpuri suits and Nehru jackets. Pair with a gold pocket square to finish the look.
